The client’s key aim was to restore the house to its former glory. Built in the 1730s with subsequent internal modifications, the house was in a poor state, repairs were carefully considered and sensitively carried out due to the Grade II listing. The client drew inspiration from the décor at Claridge’s. We brought in Linley’s fusion of comfort and elegance and remained sympathetic to the house’s history, always considering its classical proportions. The Art Deco style is evident in the bespoke furniture which was combined with carefully sourced antique pieces and joinery was designed to look as if it had always been there.
