HAVELOCK

A brand-new hall of residence is being developed in Hastings to offer university and international students’ high-quality accommodation while they study in the town. What makes this unique is that 49 of these units will be investor owned with a conservative expectation of 10% returns on the full title and leasehold self-contained studios.

Cochrane Design will be converting the former University of Brighton building on Havelock Road, into what is thought to be the town’s first dedicated student halls of residence. ROSE COTTAGE MEWS

Rose Cottage is forgotten gem in the coastal town of St Leonards On Sea. A grade II listed feather board cottage with two barns to the rear. This quaint cottage looks as though a child has drawn it with its pleasing symmetry and perfect proportions.

When first viewing this plot Cochrane Design was inspired by the mews like quality of the enclosed courtyard. The buildings to the rear were not salvageable so have been demolished with planning in place to rebuild like for like. Currently two new timber structure family homes are being built in addition to the original cottage which has been carefully brought back to its former glory. We are excited to offer this development to Market in Summer 2021.

66 Sedlescombe Road was a dilapidated detached building in prime position in Hastings which Cochrane Design has taken on and is bringing it back to its formal glory.
